Nigerian travel enthusiast to drive from London to Lagos

At 27, Nubi has already visited 77 countries, sharing her travel experiences with her audience and encouraging them to explore life beyond Great Britain

Oluwapelumi Nubi, a Nigerian travel content creator, is embarking on a solo journey from London to Lagos by car on the 30 January.

At 27, Nubi has already visited 77 countries, sharing her travel experiences with her audience and encouraging them to explore life beyond Great Britain.

“As a solo black female traveller, I want to show that adventures like this are possible. It’s about exploring our beautiful continent, pushing my limits, and hopefully, inspiring some of you to chase your dreams, too,” Nubi posted on Instagram.

The funding for the solo trip will require between US$15,000 and US$20,000 for transportation, lodging, and necessities.

She also reveals that she will be sleeping in her car to, ” see if I can push myself out of my comfort zone and do something different.”

Her route will start from England, and then she’ll cross into France, then Spain, and head to Morocco. After that, it’s through the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and finally Nigeria, reaching Lagos.

Nubi has gone on solo trips before. She travelled from Lagos to Ghana twice, spent two weeks exploring Namibia and drove from London to Lake Como in Italy.
