ECG: Some customers on PNS, Ecash metering system can now purchase credit

ECG customers on that platform have been unable to buy credit due to challenges with the metering system a few days ago

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has said some customers on the PNS and Ecash metering system can now purchase credit after the system broke down a few days ago.

ECG customers on that platform have been unable to buy credit due to challenges with the metering system.

The affected areas are Volta Region, Takoradi, Tema, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Winneba, Swedru, Koforidua, Nkawkaw and Tafo.

Speaking with sit-in host of The Asaase Breakfast Show, Benjamin Offei-Addo on Thursday (29 September), the external manager of communications at ECG, Charles Nii Ayiku Ayiku said the ICT team is working to resolve the problem on time.

“As I indicated to you earlier, some of the servers picked up, and some customers were able to buy credit. Unfortunately, some are not able to,” Ayiku said.

“The issue that affected the system is being worked on by the information communication technology team and we will update you when necessary,” he added.
