Two critically wounded in shooting incident in Kumasi

The Police in Kumasi are investigating a road rage which resulted in a shooting incident involving two drivers

A man has shot himself after an altercation with another person who warned him against reckless driving at Ayeduase near Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

Prior to shooting himself, Samson Zabanga, 31, shot Kwame Amoah, 52, three times in the stomach after returning a slap from the suspect.

Zabanga, according to eyewitnesses was quarrelling with a woman who sat in the front seat of his KIA optima vehicle.

Zabanga shot himself after he was surrounded by the police who rushed to the scene to prevent a mob action.

Kumasi shooting

The victim (Amoah) had moved in to tell the driver (Samson) to drive cautiously on the busy road when he was caught in traffic.

The two, who are in critical condition were first sent to the KNUST Hospital have since been referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

Police have since begun investigations into the incident.
