Two arrested in Tamale for suspected human trafficking

Two suspects have been arrested for alleged human trafficking following the vigilance of the public at a bus terminal in Tamale

The police have rescued 12 victims of suspected human trafficking at Zabzugu in the Northern Region.

According to the police, two suspects – 45-year-old Kwaku Manu and his accomplice 24-year-old Joshua Nkabeye – have been arrested.

The police commended the public for their vigilance in reporting the case to them, having sensed danger when the victims were spotted with the suspects at a bus terminal in Tamale.

The Northern regional police command said it intervened immediately when it received signals about the issue.

The two suspects are currently being interrogated while the 12 victims are being housed at a guest house in Tamale.
