The suspect, Awudu Giwa alias Sareki Kpakpo, was arrested from his hideout in Kasoa upon a tip off

The police have arrested one person in connection with the chieftaincy dispute at Gomoa Nyanyano near Kasoa in Central Region.

One person was shot dead during the melee over the weekend.

According to the police, the suspect Awudu Giwa alias Sareki Kpakpo was arrested from his hideout in Kasoa upon a tip off.

He is said to be the person who shot at 75-year-old Kofi Aba who lost his life during the violence that marred the installation of his nephew on Sunday.

Earlier report by the police pointed to a case of stray bullet hitting the man, but latest intelligence from the law enforcement agency said they have established a possible case of target killing.
