Musician stabbed to death in Cape Coast

The musician was stabbed in an altercation with an artisan and died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital on arrival

The Central Regional police command is investigating circumstances leading to the death of a musician.

The 24-year-old musician Emmanuel Aikins popularly known as Soft Metal met his untimely death at the Orange Beach Resort during an altercation with 27-year-old Bright Ellis, who is an artisan.

The musician is said to have been stabbed by the artisan with a knife during a fight.

The musician who was bleeding profusely as a result of the stabbing was rushed to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for treatment but died on arrival, health officials confirmed.

The suspect who also sustained a cut on his left hand subsequently made a report at the police station against the deceased and was issued with medical forms, but was later arrested by the police to assist with investigations.
