NDC deserves commendation, says political strategist

More than 355,000 National Democratic Congress party delegates are expected to converge at 401 voting centres across the country for the ballot

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) deserves commendations for swiftly resolving its internal issues paving way for the presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday (13 May), a political communication strategist, Bernard Tutu-Boahen, has said.

Kwabena Duffuor, a former hopeful, had reversed his decision earlier on Friday to place a court injunction on the primary race after expressing reservations about discrepancies in the electoral roll.

More than 355,000 NDC party delegates are expected to converge at 401 voting centres across the country for the ballot.

Speaking to Beatrice Adu on TownHall Talk on Friday (12 May), Tutu-Boahen said: “If the NDC had gotten to this point and within 24 hours, they have been able to pull resources together to have discussions to bring angers down.

“And to unite the party, going forward, I think that it’s a credit to the party and they should be commended for what they have done.”
