Bole: Four die in road crash

The road accident occurred on the Bole-Bamboi highway in the Savannah Region when a bus crashed into a moving trailer

At least four persons have lost their lives in a fatal accident at Kwame-Kwasi on the Bole-Bamboi highway in the Savannah Region.

The incident happened on Sunday (24 April) after a bus with registration number AP 7778-21 rammed into a trailer with registration number GR 2703-P loaded with goods which was on its way towards Mali.

An eyewitness said the driver of the ESP Kia was speeding when he crashed into the trailer leading to the death of four whilst others were also left with various injuries.

Confirming the incident to Asaase News, the Bole District police commander, DSP Benjamin Buxton, said some of the injured passengers were rushed to the Bamboi Polyclinic for treatment while the deceased have also been deposited at the Wanchi hospital morgue pending autopsy and preservation.

DSP Buxton has also warned drivers using the Wa-Bamboi road to be cautious. The police have since cleared the road for smooth vehicular movement.
