Ini Edo: Actress shares details on how she became a mother

In an exclusive interview, Nollywood actress, Ini Edo discusses the surrogacy procedure and how great it feels to be a mother.

Speaking with journalist and blogger Dimoko Korkus, she said, “Wow! Here we go, Stella… Yes, I do have a daughter and I had her through surrogacy. The eggs are mine and so genetically she’s my blood. I chose this path to fulfil my dream of becoming a mother. I still have a good number of eggs frozen in case I decide to do the surrogacy again or carry my baby myself.”

She also expressed her joy of being a mother, saying, “It was an awesome feeling and experience and as I watch my daughter grow every day, I am in awe to the miracles that God has sent my way I am so thankful and grateful to be my daughter’s mother.”

She said she is reluctant to put her daughter o social media just as other celebrities do.

Her daughter is a year old now.

Edo recommends surrogacy for anyone who has difficulty taking seed.

“I would recommend surrogacy for anyone having difficulty conceiving… I had a series of miscarriages in the past but that wasn’t my reason for going this route. I still hope to carry babies in my womb in the future, God willing,” she said.

The actress also uttered that she opted for a donor for her peace of mind and her daughter’s as well.
Edo said that she is a single mother and right now marriage is not a priority for her but added that she is not against the institution of marriage.

Edo said she is in a phase of taking care of her daughter and running her business and that’s all she has time for right now.
