President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is safe in Ghana maintaining his self-imposed isolation at the Villa in Jubilee House, Accra.
That’s the message from his communications director, Eugene Arhin.
In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, Arhin asked the public to “disregard the FALSE STORY published by the Herald Newspaper to the effect that the President was on Saturday flown out of the country to London for COVID-19 treatment”.
He added: “It is clearly a figment of the author’s imagination.”
Arhin went on to say: “The president is in the country, and he’s currently at the Presidential Villa in Jubilee House, observing the 14-day self-isolation precautionary measure, in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.”
Though he is well, President Akufo-Addo opted to self-isolate for 14 days after coming into contact with a close aide who has contracted the coronavirus, according to the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
