Akosua Agyapong: I don’t have a “beef” with Rex Omar
The two have been at loggerheads recently after Agyapong lambasted GHAMRO including Rex Omar, describing them as extremely corrupt

Highlife legend Akosua Agyapong has said there is no misunderstanding between herself and the chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), Rex Omar.
The two have been at loggerheads recently after Agyapong lambasted GHAMRO including Rex Omar, describing them as extremely corrupt.
Rex Omar had earlier said he suspects Agyapong’s deliberate attempts to thwart GHAMRO’s efforts could stem from her failure to attain a license from the Attorney-General’s Department to run a different collective management.
The GHAMRO chairman has since threatened to press legal action against her over the development.
However, appearing on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday (30 August), Agyapong said there is no transparency at GHAMRO.
“To me I don’t think I am attacking Rex Omar,” Agyapong told Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the show. “He was rather attacking me personally, but I have always decided not to talk about it because I am talking about GHAMRO.”
“I don’t have a problem with him, but if he comes to YouTube, he always attacks me, but one day he threw some bomb and I said ‘you have pushed me’, so I also told him what I had to tell him.
“He made his lawyer write to me, asking me to go round and apologise because I said Rex Omar is a “thief”,” Agyapong added.
