Caroline Sampson hosts “Ten-To-One” – Asaase Radio’s late-morning show

The award-winning media personality Caroline Sampson is poised to entertain listeners of Accra’s Asaase Radio as host of the station’s late-morning-to-early-afternoon show

The award-winning and sensational media personality Caroline Sampson is poised to entertain listeners of Accra’s Asaase Radio as host of Ten-To-One, the station’s late-morning-to-early-afternoon show, going out from 10am to 1pm daily.

“We are thrilled to have Caroline join us,” says Nana Opoku Agyemang, chief executive of Asaase Radio. “She comes to Asaase with a strong following of her own. She understands the vison of Asaase, which is a Pan-Africanist media platform, determined to promote and project the best of Ghanaian and African arts and culture.”

Ms Sampson “epitomises entertainment”, says Naomi Nelson, head of communications, marketing and events for Asaase Radio. “She is a delight to listen to and represents the best in entertainment Africa can offer to radio listeners everywhere.”

“We didn’t come to play so buckle up for the most amazing radio experience you can ever imagine,” is the message from Caroline Sampson, who promises to blend the best in music from Ghana, Africa and beyond with the best in entertainment titbits.

The fast-rising media outlet, which is already nurturing a strong following with its excellent mix of music on 99.5FM and it active social media presence, will officially be launched on Sunday 14 June, the main programme of the day being Kwaku Sakyi-Addo’s Sunday Night at 7pm.

Stellar career

The amazing Caroline launched her media career with Atlantis Radio, hosting Continuous Drive and Mellow Cruise. She moved to GTV to host the U-Win Game Show, and then to TV3, where she hosted Hitz Video.

Ms Sampson joined Citi FM, hosting the daily programme Room 973, as well as two other shows on the station, Rhythms in the Citi and Citi Countdown. After two years with Citi, she joined the popular youth-focused radio station Yfm and E’TV GH. She was the presenter of Yfm’s lunch time show, Shouts On Y.

Awards

The talented and trendy woman with a large social media following, Ms Sampson has won many awards, including Best Presenter at the Stars Integration of Culture of Africa (SICA) festival and competition, held in Benin in 2009, Best Female Radio Personality at the third edition of the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA in 2019. She also received the Fourth XWAC-Africa Award of Honor for Media Excellence in 2019.

“Our programming will be provocative and innovative to push us to be the most valued, reliable, accurate and authoritative multimedia platform in West Africa,” Nana Opoku Agyemang stresses.
