28-year-old man arrested for engaging in police enlistment scam

The suspect, Nana Opare, impersonated a senior police officer at the Mankessim Divisional Command and ended up defrauding a lot of people

Police in the Central Region have arrested one Nana Opare for allegedly defrauding people under the guise of securing them job in the police service.

The 28-year-old suspect allegedly told his victims he is a senior officer stationed at the Mankessim Divisional Command, defrauding them of unspecified amount of money with the promise of getting them enlisted into the police service.

The unemployed suspect from Mankessim has since been detained in police custody.

The police have called on persons who have fallen victims to Opare’s activities to make an official complaint for investigations.
