NDC to disqualify members who flout campaign rules

The party says some individuals are already instigating hatred against some sitting MPs who seldom visit their constituencies as a result of work in Parliament

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned that it will sanction any MP aspirant who flouts the party’s rules ahead of opening of nominations.

According to the party, some individuals are already instigating hatred and malice against some sitting MPs who seldom visit their constituencies as a result of work in Parliament.

“Members are also to take note that the opening period for campaigning activities for the party’s internal elections are not yet due. Any member who jumps the gun could face sanctions including the possibilities of being disqualified if the time comes,” the general secretary of the party Johnson Asiedu Nketiah said in a statement addressed to all regional chairmen.

“All party members are advised henceforth to desist from this and any activity that will bring the name of the party to disrepute,” it added.
