NDC primaries: North Tongu MP Ablakwa goes unopposed

Ablakwa shared the news on Facebook on Sunday (26 February), saying it comes as an opportunity to continue doing more for his constituents

The MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said he will run unopposed in the upcoming primaries of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Ablakwa shared the news on Facebook on Sunday (26 February), saying it comes as an opportunity to continue doing more for his constituents.

“We are running unopposed in the North Tongu NDC Parliamentary Primaries,” the former deputy education minister under the John Mahama administration wrote on Facebook. “Another reason to serve my beloved constituents better, stronger, harder and more innovatively.”

“As you very well know, I don’t and will never take your support for granted,” Ablakwa said.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its presidential primary on Saturday 13 May 2023 to elect a flag bearer for the 2024 elections.

The vetting of the aspirants will be held from 27 to 29 March 2023.

After the vetting, aspirants who have issues with the vetting process will have the opportunity to appeal from 30 March to 6 April 2023 before the main primaries on 13 May.
