National Economic Dialogue kicks off 3 March at AICC

President John Mahama is set to lead the discussions with a keynote address themed, "Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together."

The government has announced that the National Economic Dialogue will take place from 3 to 4 March 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

In a statement issued on Tuesday (18 February), the Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, said the forum would provide an avenue for Ghanaians to address pressing economic challenges and develop practical solutions for sustainable economic growth.

President John Mahama is set to lead the discussions with a keynote address themed, “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together.”

The statement highlighted that the initiative is a key step in fulfilling President Mahama’s campaign promise to involve citizens in shaping the country’s economic direction.

“The National Economic Dialogue 2025 seeks to build consensus and foster collaboration between the Government and key stakeholders on priority policies and structural reforms,” the statement emphasized.

The forum will bring together representatives from the private sector, academia, public policy institutions, and civil society organizations to deliberate on economic priorities and structural reforms.

“By establishing clear commitments and milestones, the forum aims to reset the economy, ensuring long-term resilience and transformative growth for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” the statement read.

It further stressed that the government remains committed to constructive engagement and collaboration in its efforts to build a stronger economy.

The outcome of the dialogue is expected to set Ghana on a path toward economic revitalization, increased business opportunities, and improved living standards nationwide.
