MzGee’s ex-husband Raymond Acquah grabs job at Finance Ministry
Acquah's move to the Finance Ministry follows a trend of journalists transitioning into communications roles within government institutions

Raymond Acquah, a well-known News Anchor at Joy FM and the former husband of popular United Showbiz host MzGee, has taken on the role of Technical Advisor, Strategic Communications at the Ministry of Finance.
His appointment took effect on 11 March.
Acquah brings a significant amount of experience in the media landscape to his new position. Prior to his time at Joy FM, where he was a familiar voice on their news broadcasts, he also worked at Radio Universe and Citi FM.
His move to the Finance Ministry follows a trend of journalists transitioning into communications roles within government institutions.
Recently, Joy FM’s Emefa Apawu was appointed as the Communications Manager at the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation.
Additionally, Paa Kwesi Asare, a prominent figure from TV3, has joined the communications department at the Bank of Ghana.
Acquah’s understanding of the media landscape and public discourse will likely play a key role in disseminating information and engaging stakeholders on financial matters.
