The northern sector sales manager of MTN Ghana, Collins Agyei, has urged the Muslim community to encourage their children to apply for the MTN Bright Scholarship Scheme.
He said the MTN Ghana Foundation is still in the process of receiving entries for the scholarship programme.
He appealed to all Ghanaians to visit the MTN Ghana website to apply before the deadline on 31 May.
Agyei made the appeal when he led a team to present food items to the Northern Regional chief imam, Alhaji Abdul-Salam Ahmed, and his council of elders towards the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr.
The scholarship scheme, he said, aims to assist students in public tertiary and vocational institutions with their financial commitments whilst they are in school.
The sales manager explained that, the scholarship covers the cost of tuition, accommodation, stipends and a laptop to enable each student excel in their programme of study.
