Akufo-Addo sacks Bosome Freho DCE

Local Government Minister Dan Botwe communicated the president’s decision to the Ashanti Regional Minister on Friday (28 July)

President Akufo-Addo has sacked the chief executive officer of Bosome Freho District Assembly of the Ashanti Region Yaw Danso.

Yaw Danso was suspended in October 2022 for allegedly engaging in illegal mining.

Local Government Minister Dan Botwe communicated the president’s decision to the Ashanti Regional Minister on Friday (28 July).

Meanwhile President Akufo-Addo has nominated Kofi Adu Amoateng as the new chief executive of the Bosome Freho District Assembly of the Ashanti Region.

The nomination is per Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Government Act, Act 936 (as amended).

“In view of the above you are kindly requested to liaise with the regional Electoral Commission to conduct the confirmation process of the nominated chief executive”, the letter further stated.
