Their busts have been erected at the Forecourt of the Supreme Court building in Accra known as the ‘Martyrs of the Rule of Law’.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Friday (28 June) ahead of this years celebration, PRO of GBA Saviour Kudze said the celebration is to help avert the occurrence such tragic incident in Ghana’s history.

“Interestingly enough, over the years that I have been part of this celebration, I haven’t seen the army represented, I cannot explain why. But I think going forward, we can rope them in after 42 years because they were also part of the gruesome murders.”

“Two years is a long time for people to forget about it, but the family may not have forgotten about it. The reason for the celebration is to remember ourselves, where we have come from, and ensure that such a thing will not happen again in our country,” Kudze said.
