Mali transition leader makes official visit to Burkina Faso

Leader of the Mali transition government Colonel Assimi Goïta, made an official one-day visit to Burkina Faso.

He was welcomed by his Burkinabe counterpart, President Ibrahim Traoré.

The two leaders are set to discuss concrete projects aimed at improving bilateral collaboration, intensifying efforts to combat terrorism and promoting sustainable development initiatives.

As well as ways to coordinate and strengthen the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

The visit will strengthen ties between the two neighbouring nations and lay the foundations for better cooperation aimed at addressing common challenges and opening new perspectives for a brighter future for their respective peoples.
