COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, the executive director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has said she is committed to ensuring a holistic organisational transformation of the investigative body.
The newly appointed EOCO boss has therefore charged staff to be professional in the discharge of their duty in order not to dent the reputation of the organisation.
Speaking at the opening of a two-day training for regional directors, unit heads among other key position holders in EOCO across the country, Addo-Danquah said she will prioritise the welfare of staff of EOCO due to the crucial role they play in fighting corruption.
“It is my avowed aspiration to see a holistic organisational transformation. Hopefully, by dint of hard work and commitment of all staff, this vision is not far-fetched. Achievement of institutional transformation is largely anchored on developing and equipping the human resources and aligning their diverse skillset to the organisation’s vision and goals.

“I am determined and committed to ensure that together with management, the human and material resources will be improved significantly in line with acceptable standards to effectively discharge our core mandate of monitoring and investigating economic and organised crime,” Maame Tiwaa said.
“Regional directors and unit heads, it is imperative to bring to your notice that we can only achieve high performance when we consistently demonstrate professionalism and commitment to our respective assigned roles and responsibilities.”
Maame Tiwaa further called on the Attorney General to fast track the passage of the EOCO amendment bill to enhance the welfare of workers.
