Akufo-Addo: We’re working to restore Ghana to path of prosperity

President Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to be inspired and guided by the story of salvation with the hope of the country returning to its former glory

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said that the government is working assiduously to return the country back to the path of progress and prosperity.

In an Easter message to Ghanaians, the president urged the citizenry to be inspired by the story of salvation with the hope of the country returning to its former glory.

He said: “In the face of the current difficulties confronting our nation, I admonish all of us to be inspired and guided by this promise of salvation. I ask respectfully, all of you, to continue to have hope for a great time soon for our country.

“The government is working hard to restore our nation back to the part of progress and prosperity. A path which our nation was charting before the onset of COVID-19 whose negative consequences have been further exacerbated by the effects of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.”

President Akufo-Addo further urged celebrants to continue to live responsibly and safely despite the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. Also, he asked road users to be careful and drive safely.
