The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a Lebanese national, Mr. Omar Mikati, at his residence in East Legon on 20 June 2025.
The 58-year-old was found in a pool of blood, and a team from the Police Crime Scene Management Unit collected forensic evidence from the scene.
Investigators say the attackers fled with the victim’s Samsung phone, leaving behind two iPhones and an ATM card bearing the name Paul Twumasi Ankrah.
Police arrested Ankrah at Samsam Medie, who later led officers to his alleged accomplice, Asiedu Henning, also known as Nana Kofi Anum.
Henning was picked up in Kutunse on 2 July and led police to a location where a knife believed to have been used in the attack was retrieved.
Both suspects have been remanded by the Adabraka District Court and are expected to reappear on 8 July 2025.
