Kumasi Asante Kotoko has announced the signing of Prosper Narteh Ogum as the club’s new head coach.
Narteh signed a two-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors after leaving his post as the head coach of West African Football Academy.
Kotoko announced the signing via the microblogging and social networking service Twitter. In the tweet, the club described Narteh as “a sports psychologist, educationist and coach”.

The 43-year-old replaces the Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto.
Despite agreeing on terms with Narteh months ago, Kotoko could not announce his appointment until a similar deal had been reached with Barreto to strike out his contract.
That process was concluded on Friday, paving the way for Sunday morning’s announcement.
Prosper Narteh previously coached Elmina Sharks, Karela United – where he worked for only a month – Ebusua Dwarfs and, more recently, West African Football Academy.
