Kori JHS burglary: Police arrest three suspects 

About 27 laptops went missing after thieves broke into a storeroom at Kori Junior High School in the Builsa North Municipality of the Upper East Region

Police in the Builsa North District have picked up three persons suspected to be behind the burglary at the Kori Junior High School, in which 27 laptops and other valuables were stolen.

The suspects were arrested Thursday (4 November) at a hideout, following police intelligence. 

Five of the 27 laptops, a solar power inventor have been retrieved from the suspects. 

One of the three unnamed suspects is said to be a native of the Kori community and leader of the syndicate. 

Two of the suspects have so far confessed their involvement in the incident.

Albert Anyaana, headteacher of the school said he was invited to the police station in Sandema after the arrest to identify the retrieved items. 

The police say they are still investigating the matter to recover the rest of the items.

 The Tuesday (2 November) night burglary also resulted in the loss of four rechargeable lamps, a solar power inventor, two gallons of liquid soap and an amount of GHC80 belonging to the PTA.

 Anyaana, who gave details of the burglary to Asaase News, said the management of the school arrived on Thursday morning to a burgled storeroom with a cabinet containing the valuables lying empty behind the school block.
