Kofi Amoa-Abban denies involvement in disputed Prampram land activities, demands retraction of false media reports
Ghanaian businessman Kofi Amoa-Abban has denied media claims linking him to ongoing activities on a disputed 28-acre plot in Prampram

Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Kofi Amoa-Abban has strongly denied being linked to any ongoing activities on a contested 28-acre plot of land in Prampram, as recently reported by certain media outlets.
In a statement issued on 14 April 2025, Amoa-Abban refuted claims that he or his company, Kofi Abban Holdings, were involved in current developments on the disputed land, despite media reports suggesting otherwise.
The media publications in question included headlines such as “Fight over 22 Acres of Land @ Prampram — Kofi Abban ‘Wickedness’ Exposed” and “Titanium 123 Properties Fight Kofi Abban Holdings & Others Over Land,” which falsely implicated Amoa-Abban in the ongoing land dispute.
In his rejoinder, Amoa-Abban clarified that a court injunction currently in place prevents both Titanium 123 Properties and Kofi Abban Holdings from conducting any activities on the land. However, the injunction allows third-party grantees of both parties to work on the site, and he pointed out that the activities taking place are being carried out by those third-party grantees, not by him or Kofi Abban Holdings.
“I am surprised that Mr. Nii Kpakpo Abbosey, who has been at the centre of this dispute, would make such claims,” Amoa-Abban said. “Why does he assume that his grantees may operate on the land while ours may not? Moreover, is he a third party himself to be making such publications? Doesn’t he realise he is incriminating himself?”
Amoa-Abban further emphasised that the dispute is primarily between independent third parties, acting in their own legal capacities. He expressed disappointment over what he called the “misleading and irresponsible” media coverage, particularly given the failure of some outlets to verify basic facts before publishing sensational stories. He criticised the lack of due diligence in reporting, which, according to him, undermines public trust in the media and institutions.
Additionally, Amoa-Abban took aim at Mr. Nii Kpakpo Abbosey, the source of many of the claims. He noted that Abbosey is currently being sought by the Ghana Police for allegedly arming land guards with illegal weapons, a criminal act that Amoa-Abban described as a serious threat to public safety. He called on Abbosey to address these allegations instead of diverting attention with false accusations.
In his statement, Amoa-Abban demanded that all media houses responsible for publishing the false stories retract their reports and issue a full public apology within 24 hours. He warned that failure to do so would result in legal action to protect his reputation and that of Kofi Abban Holdings.
“This rejoinder is issued in the interest of truth, accountability, and the rule of law,” Amoa-Abban concluded.
