DCE intervenes to provide Marakaz E/A Basic School with furniture

Asaase News's Dokurugu Alhassan had earlier reported that students of the lower primary school have been learning without desk, thereby affecting academic work

The district chief executive of the Mamprugu-Moagduri District in the North East Region, Abu Adams, has confirmed that plans are underway to deliver furniture to the Marakaz E/A Basic School by the end of this week.

Asaase News‘s Dokurugu Alhassan had earlier reported that students of the lower primary school have been learning without desk, thereby affecting academic work.

Speaking to Kwaku Nhyira-Addo on the Asaase Breakfast Show on the development on Monday (17 July), Adams said the situation was due to congestion in the school.

“What I know is that there is furniture but there is shortage because of the growing population of our enrollment,” the DCE said.

“We have first year with about 100 students and when they move to second year, the population that comes is more. From now to Friday, the school desk will be delivered to the school,” Adams promised.
