Ketu North’s new MCE vows to lead with heart, vision and rapid development

Martin Amenaki, the newly elected MCE reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with the MP for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, to bring meaningful and rapid development to the area

The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ketu North, Martin Amenaki, has pledged to lead with purpose, humility, and a clear focus on accelerating development across the municipality.

Amenaki received a unanimous 100 percent endorsement from all 55 assembly members, including government appointees. In his acceptance speech, he described his confirmation as the beginning of a new dawn for Ketu North.

“Great things He has done; greater things He will do,” the MCE declared, signalling a new chapter of transformation for the district.

In an emotional and heartfelt address, the MCE spoke not only as a political leader but as a son of the soil — someone who has walked the streets of Ketu North, listened to its people, and understands their struggles and aspirations. He vowed to serve with openness, accountability, and unwavering dedication.

Amenaki reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with the MP for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, to bring meaningful and rapid development to the area.

“His love and dedication to Ketu North are evident. Together, we can achieve unprecedented progress,” he said.

He commended Agbana for his vision and selfless service, adding that their collaboration will drive impactful development for the people of the municipality.

The MCE acknowledged existing challenges within Ketu North but expressed confidence that these would become a thing of the past within the next four years.

Outlining his development priorities, Amenaki said his administration would focus on supporting farmers and entrepreneurs to revitalise the local economy, enhancing access to quality education, and expanding healthcare services and infrastructure.

“I am committed to fixing roads, improving sanitation, extending utilities to underserved communities, and ensuring that no one — regardless of background or status — is left behind,” he assured.

Calling for collective effort, the MCE urged all stakeholders to come on board in driving the municipality’s transformation.

“This is not a journey I can embark on alone. It will take unity, focus and hope to transform our municipality. I need your hands on deck,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of inclusive governance and promised to serve with discipline, love, commitment, and transparency.

Meanwhile, in the Akatsi South Municipality, Daniel Dagba has also been confirmed as MCE.

He pledged to lead with accountability and transparency, with a focus on agricultural development, skills training, and economic empowerment.

Dagba also assured residents of Akatsi South of his commitment to improving education and healthcare delivery. He appealed for the support of the people to achieve these shared goals.
