Ketu North delegation strengthens agricultural and educational ties with Chinese Embassy
The meeting with Ambassador Tong Defa and his diplomatic team focused on building bilateral cooperation to drive progress in agriculture, education, and commerce within Ketu North

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Eric Edem Agbana, has led a high-powered delegation to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Accra to forge stronger development partnerships.
The meeting with Ambassador Tong Defa and his diplomatic team focused on building bilateral cooperation to drive progress in agriculture, education, and commerce within Ketu North.
The delegation, which included Municipal Chief Executive Martin Amenaki and representatives from farmer-based organisations, explored collaborative strategies to unlock the constituency’s development potential.
Key areas discussed included vocational and technical training opportunities in China, agro-technological investments to modernise agriculture, and educational partnerships aimed at strengthening STEM and vocational training infrastructure.
The Chinese Embassy committed to launching a pilot vocational training programme and conducting a feasibility study to assess targeted agro-technology interventions in Ketu North.
Agbana highlighted the municipality’s fertile lands, vibrant youth population, and leadership’s commitment to creating a favourable environment for investment and innovation.
“This engagement marks a pivotal step in our ongoing agenda to transform Ketu North into a hub for agricultural excellence and technical skills development,” he stated.
The diplomatic dialogue signals growing efforts to attract international partnerships aligned with Ketu North’s long-term development vision.
