The Deputy news editor and head of business news at Asaase 99.5 Accra, Nana Oye Ankrah is in Washington DC, USA to cover the 2022 annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.
The occasion, which is the largest gathering for discussions on the world’s economies is attended by the movers and shakers of the Bretton Woods institutions, finance and trade ministers, heads of global bodies such as the United Nations among others.
“I believe this meeting is crucial for us as a country because of our request before the IMF. These meetings are where proposals are made and deliberations on global economic problems are made. It is therefore important that as a station, we inform our listeners and viewers [on Facebook] about what is happening here,” Ankrah said.
The meetings will take place in person from Monday 10 October through Sunday 16 October 2022 in the IMF and World Bank Group headquarters, in Washington DC.
