A husband in Kumasi has allegedly gunned down his 44-year-old wife when she threatened to divorce him.
According to eyewitnesses, the deceased Sophia Akosua Boahemaa was shot during an altercation with Joseph Monney last Thursday evening.
Officers from the Jacobu District Police Command rushed to the scene and found the body of the deceased lying in a pool of blood.
She was declared dead by policemen at the scene.
The Jacobu District Police Commander Superintendent Iddrisu Abdullai said the 63-year-old suspect has been arrested and is assisting in police investigations.
