The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s security framework, recognising the crucial role of the Police Service in maintaining peace and stability.
Speaking at a meeting of the Ghana Police Service Regional Commanders, the Minister assured international partners, businesses, and investors of the government’s dedication to creating a secure environment that ensures smooth business operations.
Muntaka Mubarak commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, for initiating an orientation program for Regional and Unit Police Public Relations Officers.
He said the initiative is designed to enhance community engagement, improve information sharing, and build public trust in law enforcement.
Addressing the gathering, IGP Yohuno stated that the meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on past challenges and develop strategies for the year ahead.
He urged officers to uphold the highest professional standards, stressing the importance of discipline and ethical conduct in carrying out their duties.
The government’s renewed focus on security underscores its commitment to strengthening law enforcement and fostering a safer environment for all.
