The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has urged the Electoral Commission to provide a clear roadmap to the National Security Taskforce for the collation of the Ablekuma North parliamentary election results.
The declaration of the Ablekuma North parliamentary results has been delayed due to disturbances that marred the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Speaking at a meeting with the taskforce and representatives from the commission on Thursday (8 May), the IGP stated that this will facilitate the police in providing adequate security for the operation and help ease the apparent tense atmosphere.
The contest for the Ablekuma North parliamentary seat is between Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie of the NPP and Ewurabena Aubynn of the NDC.
