The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, with some members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), have paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.
During the visit on Monday (24 March), the Chief Imam warmly welcomed the IGP and congratulated him on his recent appointment as the head of the Ghana Police Service.
In his remarks, the IGP expressed his gratitude for the Chief Imam’s warm reception and ongoing support.
He acknowledged the Chief Imam’s continuous prayers for the nation’s peace and stability and reiterated his commitment to working alongside his management team and police officers to bring policing closer to the community while ensuring the safety and security of the country.
The IGP also urged the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community to support the police administration in this endeavour.
The National Chief Imam, on his part, urged the members of POMAB to assist the IGP in achieving his vision for the Police Service and pledged his own support for the preservation of peace, law, and order in the nation.
