I want to be president one day, says A Plus

Speaking with Caroline Sampson on “Asaase Café 995”, A Plus said, “I have plans to be a parliamentarian, to be president of Ghana, to be everything, actually”

The hiplife artiste and political activist Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has recently declared his intention of becoming an MP and president in Ghana one day.

Speaking with Caroline Sampson on Asaase Café 995, A Plus said, “I have plans to be a parliamentarian, to be president of Ghana, to be everything.”

The political activist said that most people cannot tell the difference between confidence and arrogance and so they frequently describe him as arrogant.

“For instance, Nana Akufo-Addo suffered that when he was campaigning to be president. People saw arrogance instead of confidence. People find it difficult to distinguish between confident and arrogant.”

He, however, noted that there are times you have to be arrogant, “I find it difficult dealing with unreasonable people. In situations like that, you don’t have a choice.”

A Plus claims that aside from defending the rights of others, he has never had a problem with anyone.

“Personally, I have never had an issue with anyone; you can check it online. Every issue that I have had is because I was fighting for someone. So, everything I have spoken about is because I was fighting for someone.

“You will never hear I’m being arrested for having an issue with someone. I am always in court because I’m fighting for somebody else.”

He said, “So, people have a certain perception about A Plus, and they get to meet me and later change their mind and want to stay by me for ever.”
