NPP’s director of legal affairs Gary Nimako congratulates Ejisu PC elect Kwabena Boateng
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held parliamentary primaries in the Ejisu constituency today, Saturday, 13 April 2024

The Director of Legal Affairs of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and lawyer in private practice, Gary Nimako Marfo, has congratulated his colleague lawyer Kwabena Boateng, the newly elected NPP parliamentary candidate for the Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region.
In a post on his Facebook wall after the results of the primaries were declared, Gary Nimako Marfo said; “A Loyal and Dedicated Member of the Legal Directorate of the NPP in Ashanti Region, Kwabena Boateng Esq, has won the Ejisu Primaries with 394 Votes. Congratulations, Kwabena. Congratulations also to the Ashanti Regional Legal Coordinator, Shadrack Obeng-Yeboah. Hard Work Pays.”
The NPP held parliamentary primaries in the Ejisu constituency today, Saturday, 13 April 2024. Overall, nine persons contested in the primaries. Lawyer Kwabena Boateng at the close of the primaries polled 394 valid votes. His closest contender, Helena Mensah, polled 302. Yaa Akyawmaa Aboagye placed third securing 229 of the valid voted cast.
Dr Evans Duah secured 63 votes, and Kwasi Nyantakyi, former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), polled 35 voted. Portia Baffoe Abronye obtained 6 votes, and Klinsman Karikari Mensah and Aaron Prince Duah both secured 2 valid votes each. The last candidate, Abena Pokuaa Amoah-Boaitey, did not obtain any vote.
The Electoral Commission (EC), will on Tuesday, 30 April 2024, conduct a by-election in the Ejisu constituency to elect a new Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency following the death of Dr John Kumah, former deputy minister of finance and MP for Ejisu who died on Thursday, 7 March 2024, after a short illness.
