Disclaimer: OSAD Legal Services not involved in MIIF 2024 audit review

Dr Eric Oduro Osae

OSAD Legal Services says it is not in any way involved in the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) request to the Auditor General to rewrite the Fund’s 2024 audited financials.

In a publication, Asaase News had indicated that OSAD Legal Services had given MIIF advice on the steps they were taking as an institution on the 2024 audited report of the organization, but the same was ignored by MIIF.

OSAD Legal Service noted in their disclaimer to Asaase News that the claim was not accurate because they have only been engaged by MIIF in a live case in court, but not on issues related to do with MIIF’s 2024 audited financials.

“Our attention has been drawn to a news publication on asaaseradio.com published on 8 December 2025 and headlined Auditor-General Rebukes MIIF CEO Over Audit Rewrite Attempt.”

“A paragraph of the said news publication titled Legal Advisers Warned MIF-But Were Ignored contains hearsay information to the effect that O5AD Legal Services PRUC proffered an expert opinion regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding MIF and its audit report, but were ignored.

“OSAD Legal Services PRUC does not assoctate itself with this unverified information in the said publication and wishes to issue a disclaimer to that effect,” a disclaimer signed by the head of chambers of OSAD Legal Service addressed to Asaase Radio read.

“We categorically state that the engagement of our services to MlIlF ‘s one which is purely on law in an ongoing court case and has nothing to do with audit.

“We are therefore by this letter demanding that you retract the online publication of Monday 8″” December 2025 and titled Auditor-General Rebukes MIIF CEO Over Audit Rewrite Atterpt within three (3) days, Inclusive of the date of service of this notice on you.

“Take notice, and notice is hereby given that in- your default to comply with this letter, our firm will take all necessary legal actions against your company to protect our reputation and rights.

“We finally wish to remind you to confirm any new information on this matter from the appropriate and authorised sources before making any future publications to avoid circulating false information to the public,” the disclaimer further read.
