Police hunt for attackers of coach Maxwell Konadu

The coach of Nsoatreman FC Maxwell Konadu has been undergoing treatment at the hospital after sustaining a head injury, a police statement says

The police are on a manhunt for two individuals who allegedly attacked Nsoatreman FC’s coach, Maxwell Konadu, after Sunday’s (19 November) match against Bofoakwa Tano in Sunyani.

Konadu has been undergoing treatment at the hospital after sustaining a head injury, a police statement said.

“The police are on a manhunt for two persons who attacked the coach of Nsoatreman FC,  Maxwell Konadu, during a football game yesterday, 19th November 2023, at the Sunyani Coronation Park,” the statement said.

“We will surely get the suspects arrested to face justice,” the statement added.

Bofoakwa Tano released a statement strongly condemning the incident. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has also imposed a home ban on Bofoakwa Tano with immediate effect.

The game ended goalless draw.
