On Monday, as part of my Valentine’s day celebration, I was on VOV radio(Hohoe) 95.7 in the Hohoe constituency to announce the award of educational scholarships to support some 55 needy but brilliant tertiary students hailing from the Hohoe constituency, this was the first my team and I were doing this.

The scholarship awarded was to enable the beneficiary students to pay their fees and the amounts given out ranged between 1,000 to 4,000 Ghana cedis per student depending on their school, the source of funding is from the Mp’s Common fund.

It encompassed students pursuing courses at UG, KNUST, UCC, UEW, UHAS, HO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, FRANCO(St. Francis training college), TERESCO (St. Theresa’s training college), etc.

Some of these students were also graduates of H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s free SHS program and were part of the Students for Amewu 2020 campaign volunteer group.

I intend to continue to support them till their graduation once they maintain a good level of academic performance.
