He’s a red flag if he does these five (5) things

Sure, we all know the classic red flag signs—bad communication, lack of accountability, or an ex that’s still suspiciously involved. But what about the low-key hilarious yet suspicious traits that should make you pause?

Dating in this era is already a rollercoaster, but sometimes, the red flags aren’t as obvious as they should be.

Sure, we all know the classic red flag signs—bad communication, lack of accountability, or an ex that’s still suspiciously involved. But what about the low-key hilarious yet suspicious traits that should make you pause?

If you’re wondering whether that man in your life might secretly be a walking red flag, here are five uncommon but undeniable signs:

1. His main form of communication is snapchat

Grown men and Snapchat? Big yikes. If he’s over the age of 22 and still insists on texting you only on Snap, it’s giving commitment issues or worse, “let me delete the evidence” energy.

Like, sir, are we in high school? Why can’t we just text like normal people? Unless he’s a professional influencer (and even then), this is a red flag wrapped in disappearing messages.

2. His instagram is private… and that’s his public account

Nothing screams “I have something to hide” louder than a grown man whose only social media account is private. This is the digital equivalent of someone whispering in broad daylight—suspicious and unnecessary.

What’s behind that lock? An embarrassing past? A secret family? A hobby he doesn’t want the world to know about? The mystery is not cute.

3. His snap score is alarmingly high

If his Snapchat score is creeping into six digits or beyond, congratulations, you might be dating someone who treats Snap like a full-time job. The man is chronically online, and not in the endearing “I send funny memes” way.

No one is snapping that much unless they’re running some sort of operation. It’s either a digital empire… or a double life. Either way, proceed with caution.

4. He owns only one pillow

Listen, a man’s pillow situation tells you everything you need to know. If you walk into his room and see just one sad, deflated pillow… run.

If he can’t even invest in basic comfort, imagine how he treats other aspects of his life. If his idea of “home essentials” is a gaming console, a mattress on the floor, and vibes, you already know the future isn’t looking too bright.

5. He texts “Hru” but takes 3-5 business days to reply

If his idea of effort is sending “Hru” with no follow-up, but then takes an eternity to respond when you actually text back, he’s basically a WiFi-dependent hologram.

Why did he even ask? Did he send it for fun? Was he expecting you to just type “fine” and disappear? If he’s dry and inconsistent, don’t even bother.

While these red flags are hilarious, they’re also very real. If you spot more than one of these in your current situation, you might want to reevaluate your choices or at least keep a close eye on his Snap score.

Dating is already hard, don’t let yourself fall for someone who texts like a teenager, sleeps like a college freshman, and treats social media like a top-secret mission.

Life’s too short for red flags. Choose wisely!
