NPP flagbearer race: Regional breakdown of results

Over 203,000 delegates participated in the election nationwide, which took place in 275 polling stations and 16 regional centres

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday (4 November) swept 13 regions to defeat his main contender Kennedy Ohene Agyapong in the just ended presidential primaries of the governing New Patriotic Party.

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong won three regions namely Volta Region, Central Region and Western North.

Former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie-Akoto garnered 1,459 votes representing 0.76% while Francis Addai-Nimoh polled 781 votes representing 0.41%.

Over 203,000 delegates participated in the election nationwide, which took place in 275 polling stations and 16 regional centres.

Total rejected ballots recorded were 900.
