PICTURES: Husband of former chief justice Georgina Wood laid to rest

The burial service, which was held at the Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, was officiated by the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Reverend Stephen Wengam

Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday (16 September) joined a host of dignitaries, including the former president John Mahama, to pay their last respects to Edwin Wood, husband of the former chief justice Georgina Theodora Wood.

The late Wood was a retired banker.

The burial service, which was held at the Cedar Mountain Chapel in East Legon, was officiated by the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Reverend Stephen Wengam.

It was attended by Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo and the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, Minister for Finance Ken Ofori-Atta, Supreme Court justices, members of the diplomatic corps in Ghana, ministers of state, MPs and a host of senior clergymen from various denominations.
