Hassan Ayariga chooses Kuadey as APC running mate for Election 2020

The All People’s Congress (APC) has selected Frank Yaw Kuadey to partner its flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga, in the 7 December general election.

The 48-year-old accountant and businessman, who hails from Agbozume in the Volta Region, is relatively new on the political scene.

At a ceremony in Accra to outdoor the party’s manifesto and running mate, Hassan Ayariga said the APC is poised to transform the country and restore hope to Ghanaians if given the chance.

All change

He said the choice of Kuadey is testament to a new era in Ghana’s politics.

“There is a new direction, and that change is coming – not recycling. I want the media to send this to the grass roots. You want the change and you can say it. Help us make that change,” he said.

“From tomorrow, I don’t want to see [Kuadey] in my office; I want to see him in the field. I want to see him preach to the Ghanaian people that there is a new leader.’’

Ayariga said the APC will give the other political parties a tough run in the election if the competition is based on manifestos.

“Divine assignment”

The newly elected running mate expressed his gratitude to the flagbearer and executives for reposing confidence in him.

Addressing the audience, Kuadey said that his selection is strategic for the party’s quest in winning the election.

“My nomination as vice-presidential candidate is not by chance but by a divine assignment from God to partner my boss, Hassan Ayariga, to win the December general election. The time has come! Give your vote to the APC,’’ he said.

“I stand in the presence of all the good people of Ghana. I gladly accept to be the vice-presidential candidate for the APC. I am humbly soliciting for the support of all as we collectively salvage the nation from poor leadership.”
