GRA: E-Levy to be implemented in phases

The Ghana Revenue Authority says an assessment of the readiness of the charging entities informed its decision as some of the entities have not fully integrated E-levy Management System

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) says the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) will be carried out in phases.

The GRA said an assessment of the readiness of the charging entities informed its decision.

A letter copied to all charging entities indicated that the GRA has observed that some charging entities have not fully integrated E-Levy Management System hence the decision to implement the levy in phases.

GRA said: “Following Ghana Revenue Authority’s assessment of the general readiness of some Charging Entities to integrate with the E-Levy Management System, the commissioner-general has decided on a modified phased approach for the implementation of the levy from 1 of May 2022.”
