Hearts of Oak, Head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed his disappointment over his players’ performance in the one-nil defeat to Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Kelvin Obeng’s 11th-minute strike was all the visitors needed to succumb Hearts of Oak to their fourth defeat at home in the 2023/24 season.

Aduana remain third on the table with 46 points while Hearts of Oak are just four points above the drop zone with four games to go.

“We played badly today, there was no motivation and I don’t understand what happened. Very disastrous, very disappointed completely”- Outtarra said in a post-match interview.

“The key players will come out for nothing. All the plans are down, very difficult but these boys I don’t understand them, today you are good tomorrow you are bad, I don’t understand what happened but today is a very bad game.”

“We had a very bad game, we played 90 minutes without any shot on the goalkeeper, not even one. I am not happy, seriously.”

The Ivorian coach was forced to make a substitution in the 37th minute after Thomas Winimi replaced defender Kofi Agbesimah who picked an injury in the game.

After six minutes, Salifu Ibrahim replaced Yaw Amankwa Baafi.  Outtarra was forced to make another injury substitution after Salim Adams picked up a knock and was replaced by Martin Karikari in the 70th minute.

Outtarra couldn’t explain the injury troubles his side faced in the game. “I don’t understand, ask the medical team, we trained this morning, we are well and everything was ok”.
The players disappointed me today, Agbesimah, and Salim Adams went out, for what? I don’t understand.”
“In the first half, we did two substitutions and we had only one chance to do another change and Salim went down, I can’t do anything.
“I can’t mention the player who did well today, we are taking all the faults, I will deal with them”- he added.
The Phobians will travel to Kumasi next to face their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko next weekend in matchweek 31 fixture.
