All Nigerian Women Association, Ghana visits, HRM Dr Ihenetu, moves against women trafficking, prostitution

According  to the association, there is an urgent need to bring these perpetrators of human trafficking to face the law

In recognition of his role as Global Peace Ambassador and chief promoter of Igbo culture in the Diaspora, All Nigerian Women Association, Ghana paid a courtesy visit to the Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace of  Ezendigbo Ghana, HRM Eze Amb Chukwudi Ihenetu to present their newly elected Executives and to also discuss other things about the growth of all Nigerian Women Association, Ghana.

After explaining some of their challenges to the Royal Father, which part of it was about the ladies who brings our young tenage girls to Ghana for Prostitution or sex slavery, they added that they have put some strategies in place in order to make sure they work with various sectors like  government agencies, traditional leaders and well meaning Nigerians to put a stop to this wicked act because it brings shame to them, to womanhood and to our nation Nigeria at large.

According  to the association, there is an urgent need to bring these perpetrators of human trafficking to face the law .

In his remarks, the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal Father, HRM Ihenetu assured them of his support and also shared his own experiences, which he had over the  same issue 

He further stated that he has sent over 100 teenagers who were involved in the same sex slavery and prostitution back home to their families with the help of his  Palace elders. Some of them ended up in psychiatric  homes as a result of drug abuse.

Eze Ihenetu further explained that two Nigerian traffickers caught  by the Ghana government are now currently serving 15 years of jail term.

Furthermore, he continued by telling them that he has been receiving calls every day on the same issue from all part of the country, Ghana.

The King said that he found out  that over 90 percent of those bringing this girls for sex work are women who also have children, how will they feel if their own children get involved in the same sex slavery and prostitution, he asked.

HRM Eze Ihenetu warns the traffickers to desist from this wicked act and call on all well meaning Nigerian, to stand up against this evil act because their actions are giving  Nigerians in Ghana bad names.

“I advice  our mothers back home to always do background checks  before allowing  anybody  to take their girls abroad because  in most cases, they end up in brothels as prostitute  while others become sex hawkers selling their body to earn money for this traffickers. This inhuman and wicked attitude  must stop,

“It is sad that some of these girls have been allegedly killed by Yahoo Yahoo boys for money rituals, and their mothers and fathers don’t even know that their child has gone. This is the more reason all hands must be on deck to stamp out this evil menace from our society,” he said.

Eze Ihenetu assured the Nigerian women of his support at all level, he also used the opportunity to informed the Nigerian Women Association of the up coming Igbo Day/ New Yam Festival which will be held on the 17th September 2023 and urged them to come in their number so as to collectively showcase our rich culture.
