Government commences payments on outstanding bonds

The Finance Ministry says the initial instruction covers coupon and principal payments on bonds that matured on 6 February and 13 February

The government has commenced payments on outstanding bonds, a statement from the Finance Ministry has said.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the processes started on Monday (13 March 2023).

The statement says: “The initial instruction covers coupon and principal payments on bonds that matured on 6 February 2023 and 13 February 2023. Holders of the afore-listed bonds should therefore expect to receive their payments within the next 48 hours.”
