Government achieves 95% participation for its pension funds alternative offer

The government says it has achieved a 95% participation rate for its alternative offer for pension fund exchange.

Earlier, the government announced an administrative extension of the domestic dollar bonds and pension funds alternative offer programme to 25 August 2023.

A statement on Tuesday (29 August) said, “The government is pleased with the results, as a substantial majority of the Eligible Holders have tendered. This result is a significant achievement for the Government to implement fully the economic strategies in the post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG) during this current economic crisis.”
