GIPC holds regional sensitization forum for businesses in Ahafo Region

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) on Friday 3 November held its maiden regional sensitization forum in Goaso, the Ahafo regional capital.

The forum was organised in collaboration with the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council, Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Ghana Enterprise Agency, EXIM bank and other local authorities.

It was aimed at sensitizing the people of Ahafo region about the need to process and profile their businesses to assist them attract support from financial institutions.

The event was attended by farmers, businessmen and women, producers, artisans, government officials, Journalists, the various Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) among other stakeholders in the region.

The director of Monitoring and Evaluation for GIPC, George Kusi Asafo-Agyei, said it is the mandate of his outfit to promote, coordinate, encourage and facilitate investment in the Ghanaian economy.

He noted that the team’s visit to the region was to search for local content requirements of potential business investments in the region by liaising with MDA’s to bring to the doorsteps, the services of the GIPC.

GIPC is a government agency established under Act 865 to promote, coordinate, and facilitate investment in the Ghanaian economy.
